After many years in the computer industry, I rediscovered my childhood passion for drawing and painting in 2009. I began taking courses at Gage Academy and in 2012 was accepted into Juliette Aristides’ Classical Atelier where I studied part time while continuing to work at Microsoft. In 2013, I joined Gary Faigin’s Still Life Atelier.
A value study assignment in the fall of 2012, sent me on a tangent that resulted in my passion for printmaking. I studied printmaking on the side during the school year and then worked exclusively on printmaking over the summer of 2013. Printmaking is now on the back burner as I devote my energies during the school year to the Still Life Atelier curriculum.
I started this blog in 2012 when I joined the Classical Atelier with the hope of chronicling my experiences learning to draw and paint and sculpt. I hope you enjoy.
